Fans will take part in a day of celebrations to mark Arsenal's 125th anniversary

The great-great-grandson of Fred Beardsley, who sourced kit for Arsenal from his former team Nottingham Forest, will join current kit manager Vic Akers in setting up the dressing room pre-match.

The two great-grandchildren of David Danskin, Arsenal's founding father, will carry out the duty of handing over the match ball to referee Howard Webb, who will decide the kick-off with a sixpence to commemorate the founding team members who each gave a sixpence to buy a football.

A souvenir edition of the matchday programme will be available and anyone purchasing will be in with a chance of finding one of 125 golden tickets to win one of the 18 commemorative shirts worn by the squad on the day or a souvenir leather football.

Supporters are asked to arrive at the stadium early to experience the special events take place.


Schedule of events :

1.30pm - The Royal Artillery and Orchestra, founded in 1762, will play outside Emirates Stadium above The Armoury store

1.45pm - Unveiling of the Nike 125 Project which gave Arsenal's most passionate fans the chance to tell their story and have the chance to see them immortalised around Emirates Stadium

2.15pm - The Royal Artillery Band and Orchestra will play inside the Emirates Stadium bowl

2.40pm - Legends presented to the crowd with supporters

2.50pm - A guard of honour of fans and legends together with 20 Junior Gunners

2.59pm - David Danskin's great-grandchildren bring out the match ball for the game

3.00pm - Referee Howard Webb to toss a sixpence to decide kick-off

3.45pm - Half-time presentation to Nottingham Forest
